‘Mallika’ is a cross between ‘Neelum’ and ‘Dasheri’ that was introduced in 1978 from India. It has tender, juicy and fiberless flesh with a rich and sweet flavor. In India, it is often picked mature but green and ripened for several weeks in beds of straw.
