Update after Hurricane Irma and Video Links

We made it through Hurricane Irma safely. Many of the trees at the farm lost branches and a few trees were knocked off their roots. However, we consider ourselves very fortunate because things could have been a lot worse.

We hope that everyone made it through the storm safely and with minimal damage!

If you would like to see the damage at Truly Tropical, check out the video below:

Here's the first look at the damage at Truly Tropical caused by Hurricane Irma. Hours after the storm passed through we went out to assess the damage. There were many branches down and a few uprooted trees, but things could have been much worse. Apologies for lack of energy and general appearance.

We also have a video on how to save your wind-damaged trees. There is more to do than just dragging broken branches to the curb!

After a big wind event like a hurricane, damaged trees need attention. In this video, Chris shows what to do for different types of tree damage. Included are breaks, exposed branches and tipped over trees with exposed roots. Damaged trees include Mango, Caimito and Jaboticaba.
